Deal Score: turning data into a Buy, Wait or Avoid signal
People do not want a dashboard. They want to know whether to buy now. Deal Score compresses the analysis into one honest signal.
A price history is powerful, but it still asks the shopper to interpret it. Deal Score is the layer on top: a single number, from 0 to 100, that answers the only question most people are actually asking — should I buy this now?
What goes into the score
- How the current price compares to the historical low and average
- How much the price has dropped from its recent high
- How volatile the price is, and whether sales usually push it lower
An opinion, stated honestly
A score of 92 with 'Buy Now' means the data supports acting today. A lower score paired with 'Wait' is a signal to set an alert instead. The product's credibility depends on that signal being unbiased — Deal Score is never nudged by which retailer pays more.
The best decision-support tool is one that is willing to tell you to wait.

What a real price comparison actually needs
A row of retailer logos and prices is the easy part. The hard part is making that comparison trustworthy enough for someone to act on.

Price alerts done right
An alert that fires late, or for a fake drop, trains people to ignore it. Getting alerts right is mostly about restraint.
